Profile
Aerial Filmworks provides the gyro-stabilized Cineflex HD camera systems for entertainment, advertising and corporate clients. The Cineflex, used for the Planet Earth series, provides amazingly smooth aerial video footage. Our extensive helicopter filming experience, full-time Cineflex camera operators, tech support and over 25 years of location work deliver successful projects. We're the "one stop shop" delivering a complete package including the Cineflex V14 HD heli-gimbal, helicopter brackets, Sony CineAlta SRW-1 HDCAM SR record decks, HD LCD monitors, generators, air-to-ground radios.

Just One Call
Need to streamline your production costs? Aerial Filmworks provides complete Cineflex V14 HD systems including the helicopter brackets to mount the camera on Eurocopter AS350 A-Stars or TwinStars, and the Bell 206 Jet Ranger or Long Ranger. We arrange helicopters, locations, permits and just about anything you need for a successful aerial project. We own and operate multiple Cineflex camera systems. Our gyro-stabilized packages are the newest technology with the Sony CineAlta HDC-1500 4:4:4 HD camera. Full-time camera operators install the system saving our clients the fees and expense of an additional technician.

On Location
We work everywhere- Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, California, Utah, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas, Florida... Canada, South America... With 25 years of location experience, Aerial Filmworks will manage all the logistics and flight planning. We are fully permitted by the US State Department to export our Cineflex to authorized countries under the ITAR regulations.

Our Clients
We work with great clients including Disney, Discovery Channel, Planet Green, Lockheed Martin, ESPN and TruTV. Our cameras cover NASCAR races, chase sequences for Animal Cops and filming for the British Columbia Tourism Board.

Cineflex Benefits
1. Less Weight. The camera gimbal, vibration plate and mounting bracket weigh about 95 lbs… far less than a Wescam or SpaceCam that can easily top 500 lbs.

2. Compact Size. The gimbal sphere housing the gyro-stabilization is less than 15? in diameter. The turning diameter with the longest 42X Fujinon lens is only 23 inches.

3. Higher Airpeed. The gimbal is rated for wind loads up to 200 knots (230 mph). More importantly, the compact size does not significantly change the aircraft flight characteristics.

4. Full-resolution HD. The integrated camera is a Sony CineAlta HDC-1500 with resolution up to 1920×1080 capable of recording up to 4:4:4 HQ.

5. Multiple Formats. The camera can record in either 1080 and 720 vertical resolutions, and in both interlaced or progressive formats at a variety of frames rates.

6. Color Control. The embedded Sony RM-B750 Remote provides access via a touch screen interface to all the functions of the camera. Colors can be adjusted and scene files stores on a Memory Stick for easy recall.

7. Easy Install. Only one person, usually the camera operator, is required to install the system. (Helicopter bracket installation requires an FAA form to be completed by the aviation service- this is standard with any exterior mounted camera system.)

8. Rock Solid. The software and powerful motors of the Generation 3 system, along with military spec gyro, provide amazing camera stabilization.

9. Low Cost Shipping. The Cineflex V14 HD system ships in only 2 cases with a total shipping weight of 200 lbs (91k). The helicopter bracket is either provided by the aviation service or shipped separately in a small case. Record deck requires a separate case.

10. Extreme Conditions. No problem using the camera in extremely cold weather at 20 degrees below zero, or in the heat of the desert at 120 degrees.
